Has anyone used this yeast? Any tips?

It’s the Czech Budejovice strain

Awesome yeast.  It's been a very long time as other lager yeasts have had my attention but it's a great yeast.  I have no tips other than the standard "get a good started going, pitch cool, keep it low in the range", etc.  It has a very distinct character and I don't know that Wyeast ever had an equivalent unless 2000 Budvar was the same strain.  What are you going to make with it?

Oktoberfest actually. I saw that it was a bit more attenuative than some other lager strains so I figured I’d give it a go. Brewed today, second batch tomorrow. We shall find out mid August

It will be great for that.  A Czech Lager with Saaz hops is really great with that yeast as you can imagine but an Oktoberfest will be fantastic.

The 802 is on my list. If it's anything like WY2000 it will make you a fantastic lager. Sorry that's all I got.

2000 was another Czech lager yeast. I have used that strain in the past a few times and it was really nice, dunno if it’s the same strain tho
