YCH just released these and I got a fat sample of the Citra ones. Idk if these are widely available to homebrewers yet, but it’s an interesting concept.

Basically, they are supposed to act like noble hops but with modern American flavor and aroma.

Pretty sure they are what is left after making hop hash or lupulin powder or something. Like sketchy weed dealers used to do: keef the buds, keep the keef, sell the buds lol

I’m going to have to do some experiments. These citra are 2.3% AA!

If they still have the aroma I would assume they would be good for WP and Dry Hopping but I have no experience with them.

Yeah, I've been playing with them for the last year.  I'm currently fermenting my latest version of American mild that uses them and Mecca Grade malt exclusively.  I'll have it at HBC if anyone is there.

They're the vegetative portion left after making cryo hops.  BTW, cryo is nothing at all like hop hash.  The American nobles are very good for flavor and a bit of aroma.

I doubt it, but I don't know. YCH tells me that they should be widely available by the end of June.
