Just looking for any hints, tips, tricks, etc. Don't think I've ever used this yeast. Planning to brew a bopils with it.

It's nice. I would call it similar to WLP800, Wyeast 2000 and Wyeast 2001. I made some very nice Czech Lagers with it and they came out really nice. I would guess that it leans to the malty side so don't be shy with the hops. I also remember it floccing well and producing a brilliantly bright, gold beer. I don't remember it producing any diacetyl for me, but a d-rest is easy enough to perform if you are paranoid. Very clean yeast. I also picked up some 2782 Staro-Prague lager yeast that I plan to brew with next week and I expect it to be very similar to 802. Good luck with it.

WAs about to start a new thread but I'll just bump this one since its related. What are the current best practices for a bopils? Recipes? I am planning on roughly 1.055, all pilsner malt with a smidgen of carapils, mash at 154 or so, soft water, 90 minute boil.
