I know at least a few people here used to use the Tastybrew site for recipe creation and the calculators. A friend who runs a homebrew store in WA put together some for his website...https://www.microhom...om/calculators/

I see that Brewers Friend only allows you to save 5 recipes before you have to have a paid membership. You can't print the recipe without saving it and you can only save 5. Not sure if you can delete them after you're done so you could make more room. I'll check this one out. Thanks Denny.
Sure. I don't know if this one will let you save or not. Truthfully, I thought the TB calculator was so bad I never used it.

Saving is not my priority but it would be cool to either get a snip of the recipe in a relatively readable format or a printed copy so I could make notes on brewday, etc. On BF, you can't "see" the consolidated recipe without saving it and you can't save more than 5. Also, as a trial member, I can't delete recipes either so my account over there is pretty much hosed unless I upgrade which I'm not doing. I'm going to take your link for a test drive.

Okay, that's weird. I entered a recipe and went to save it but it told me to log in. I went to create an account but can't find it anywhere on the site... no login and no 'create account'.

On the recipe calc page, look under "CaptainBrew Members". There's a link to register and login.

Okay, got it. Thanks for the help. I just entered a recipe and saved it and printed it. The site is very detailed and flexible and seems like a good replacement for TastyBrew. Not sure if there are restrictions to how many recipes can be saved, etc. but I think I'll use this going forward.

Great! BTW, Micro Homebrew may be about the best homebrew shop I've ever been in. Huge stock, very helpful knowledgeable people.

Thanks Denny. FWIW I found http://beerformulator.com/. Since all I want it a gravity calculation and IBU estimate it works for me. Guess I've been to lazy to just make a SS instead.

I think that stuff is on the Micro site, also.
