I currently use oxiclean free for most things. What is that product that denny recommended a while back and how are people liking it? It's hard for me to figure out exactly how much oxiclean is costing me per gallon. I guess I use about a scoop per 5 gallons. Maybe this is too much? I'm not sure.

Craft Meister, I like their oxygen brewery wash. I don't use it all the time tho, just really dirty stuff. General cleaning is tsp and oxiclean. I get the 5# box of oxiclean at costco on sale for around $10 and kind of eyeball the amount.

I have never seen the oxiclean free in the 5lb packages.  you aren't using the regular oxiclean right?

for fermentors and my kettle the oxiclean always seems to do the job.

the "free" means free of perfume and dyes.  the oxiclean free also says versatile on it.

this is what I use:

this is the "non-free" version:

now is there anything "wrong" with the regular version?  I have no idea.  could be perfectly fine.  I always used the free version to avoid any perfumy type smells being left behind.

Craftneister.  Their oxygen brewery wash is like PBW only it works better and dissolves and rinses more easily.  Their alkaline brewery wash cleans better using cold water than PBW does with hot water.  You can see a comparison here...https://www.experime...ing-carboy-test

I used the regular Oxiclean (not the Free) for many years and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I dunno...I seldom measured the Oxi.  For Crafmeister, I use their recommendation.

Yeah, it does.  It also works a lot better and faster.  Whether that's worth it to you is up to you.

Since I use my sump pump cleaner for everything I do not mix up more than 1-1.5 gallons. I re-use it as well.

That's probably one of the best time investments I've made in the brewery.  Keg cleaning is just something going on while I'm doing other stuff.

Have you Made this and how do you think the results are?

I think it's pretty funny that when I look up the red devil tsp on amazon, all the side links are for oxy clean and 7th gen dishwashing detergent. haha.

I'm still working on my supply of PBW but when I need to restock I'm going to give this a try. They keep playing around with the formula and now don't recommend using 7th gen.
