Looking for some hop advice. Thinking some noble hops a little on the hoppy side for a blonde. Around 40 IBU with some nice aroma. Hops I have/was thinking Nugget(bittering?), Saaz US, Vanguard, Sonnet Golding and Edelweiss. I have limited/no experience with some of these hops and not a style I brew often. So looking for advice on hop combos and/or schedule and amounts. Will be a 12 gal 30 min boil.

I hop heavy so others may have better advice but here goes

Nugget at 30 to 20-25 ibu

2oz golding at 15 and the same at 5 and call it good.

Doesn't sound bad at all. Keep it simple.

Personally I'd keep it in the 25 - 30 ibu range if it's a simple blonde. 40 can be quite bitter if there isn't enough malt support.

Blonde Ale always seems like a wide-open category to me just as "pale ale" does. The hops can be clean, citrusy, mild, aggressive, etc. I usually end up using "American Nobles" in mine... Crystal, Mt. Hood, Santiam, Liberty, Ultra, Glacier, etc.
