I decided to prep for brewing tomorrow and throw together a recipe.  Been using tastybrew for recipe formulation.  It's gone.........  I guess I'll wing it and start looking for software

Poptop and I were just talking about this. Try BrewersFriend. Its easy and it lets you store the recipe too.

this is one reason I've stuck with my ghetto homemade spreadsheet.  brewersfriend does look pretty good though.

Yeah, Rob announced a month ago that he was finally shutting it down.

So it goes.  I think I have been  on BrewersFriend before.  Thanks people - I knew this would just go away some day.  I brewed a lot of beer using that site.  Thanks for the suggestions.  And Pickle - if you wish to share I think my mailbox has room.

Today, I had things to do and just rolled with prepping.  I'll probably end with something with a bit more hop and alcohol kick.  Flying blind is new to me though.  Hopefully I will put the alcohol in.

I wouldn't want to put anyone through using my spreadsheet but I'll send it to you.  it's pretty clunky.  I would recommend anyone with the excel skills to make their own sheet though.  you'll have to figure out all of the various equations and logic behind your brew day.  I do have some upgrades I'd like to make to it but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Here is an example.  Like I said - clunky but since I made it I'm very familiar with what's going on.

The nice thing about making your own is that you can make it make sense for your system.

I also only use a spreadsheet, so I just keep it all stored in my dropbox or google drive.

If i knew how to upload docs, I'd share...?

I just went back and looked at the ONE recipe I entered into Brewer's Friend... Bordertown Mexican Dark Lager. It has been viewed 740 times. That's the cool part about that site... you can save the recipes and share them but also browse for other brewer's recipes and possibly find some winners. NOICE! :D
