Is a soak in hot oxiclean enough? It's been a while since I've bought new SS stuff so I'm not sure what I did to prep it for use.

barkeepers friend works really well with a scrubbing. Gets the toughest beerstone and krausen off.

I've usually washed new stuff with dishwashing soap to get any oil/grease off and rinsed appropriately.  I don't know if oxiclean gets that or not since I don't use it much.

I think ER Pemberton recommends using out of the box.

Oxiclean claims to remove grease stains from clothes so I would think it would do that.
