Are people still thinking these are worth it or should I just throw a bunch of hops in at flame out and commence with the chilling (IC)?

I do both and go back and forth with if I feel it helps or not. Why not just throw them in at zero and give a short steep and chill.

I might split the diff and run the water through the chiller slowly for a little while so there is some chilling.

Not being the IPA or even really an APA guy, the batch I recently made with Cascade and Simcoe actually came out pretty tasty and all who have had it seem to agree.

Not sure if I did a hop stand or what but I added all my hop additions at the very end; equal doses at 5 minutes and the same as the wort chilled ~ 150'ish. I also hit the batch during high krausen with another equal dose of hops. I really like the flavor and aroma.

I know some of you guys do the primary hopping thing but I worry it will fade too much on me and that it will cause clogging during transfer to serving vessel.

One thing I wish I could do was get my hops in the serving keg while not introducing O2 in the process. Has anyone solved this yet?

The Primary hop is for biotransforms and I find it does not fade.

I purge my keg with the CO2 blowoff and spund, or try to.  So right before I transfer I drop in the hops and let the spunding scrub any O2.

Since that is my final rack I like to cold crash first. I know you tend to do one more transfer.

Not recently.  I have been going from the fermetner to spunding keg to serving.  Floating dip tube in some and regular dip tube in others.

Serve out of spunding keg?

I suppose I could try to just put the hops and Purge the keg a few times before racking into it and call it good.

Yes, you would pick up O2 if you transferred it out.
