How many of youse Biofine users have added Biofine after kegging?

I ask as i just tapped a beer (English IPA) that I added Biofine to at kegging (Biofine first, then racked the beer onto it, as is my usual MO), and it's a good bit cloudier than I'd like.

As in, organge-juice cloudy.  Not what I was going for at all with this beer.

This is a bit annoying, as most of my beers have been fairly clear from the first glass since I started using Biofine, but for some wierd reason, this keg is unsually cloudy.

Wasn't like that at kegging time a few weeks ago; the keg had been sitting in my lager fridge, awaiting an open tap, until 2 days ago.

If this beer doesn't start clearing up in a few days, anyone have any advice re: adding more Biofine (say, 5 mL) to an already-carbed keg?  Beyond "just dump the Biofine into the keg"?

I have done it. I use a big syringe and take out the pressure valve squirt it in. Shake the keg to mix and give it a couple days. I will post a before and after latter.

Yeah I've done this. You can even leave the CO2 hooked up and running at very low psi while you inject to help keep O2 out of the keg.

Just how I did it. Thanks for mentioning it since I missed adding it.

I’ve had better results with Knox over Biofine. The 2 times I tried it, the beer didn’t clear. I believe it was mentioned on a thread here not to move the keg post Biofine addition. Mine weren’t disturbed mine never cleared.

I know. I also purchased some Super Kleer KC. Do you have any experience using this stuff? It didn't clear the beer either and I'm wondering if my method is wrong. There's nothing on the directions that states if the second packet is supposed to be stirred in or simple poured in.

No, I have no experience with that at all.  I have only used Knox of Bio-fine, not the WilliamWarn version that Ken had.

This WilliamsWarn clarifier I bought (colloidal silicon dioxide solution) didn't do much for me although I'm not sure it's the same stuff as BioFine. I used it a couple of different ways with poor results but on one of the kegs I added it and then swirled the keg a bit and that seemed to work better but still not as well as a gel solution added to COLD beer (no agitation required). So this bottle of clarifier just sits on a shelf next to other things like 5.2 stabilizer, SuperMoss, Raspberry extract and a VHS copy of FLASHDANCE!

I am lazy and like to just add it to the keg and fill.  Boiling, cooling and blooming is too much for me ;)
