I’ve come to terms that my threshold sits around 1.050. That’s gonna be about as “Mild” as it’ll get. So in an attempt to make my version of a Mild here goes.



I’ve used both base malts and think they’ll hold a nice body and the other ingredients for added flavor and body. Magnum is something I’ve wanted to use more of in different parts of the boil. Cascade speaks for itself and 1450 adds even more body and flavor imho. The 13 minute Cascade is actually a FWH. What do you thing fellas?

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think it was a crap build. Still might be hahaha

Why cut the red x? I've used it in an alt, Alt and it brought a nice body. Agree on the higher mash, was thinking 156

You never know until you brew it. Beers that don't really fit a mold can be pretty interesting. This one looks much more like a "pub ale" than a mild to me, with that hoppy finish.

ETA: I should also I that I have no idea what late Magnum tastes like. If its mostly "hallertau-ish" it will probably do nicely with the Cascade.

My notions of trying Magnum in the end come from Experimental Brewing and Brulosophy's Hop Chronicals. I'm just curious to see how it plays with the steady Eddie Cascade. "Pub Ale." I like that

No input on the recipe but I would like you to follow up with how the late magnum was.  I know SN does that I think in Torpedo with citra to go along with the magnum.
