But that takes all the "brewer feeling" out of it

:troll:

I think homebrewers may be about the only people who validate their hobby based on the amount of effort it takes.

Because dropping hops is a huge amount of effort.

I love opening the pack and smelling them before dumping them in.

I want the system that cleans and sanitizes everything for me.  the rest of brewing is easy.

Well, there's setting up and cleaning the equipment and pouring/hauling water..I dunno, every time I hear somebody say the Picobrew stuff isn't brewing, I wonder which part of making beer isn't brewing.

I never said anything about not brewing.

I'll admit I was interested in the Pico so that I could just work on formulating recipes and having the process automated for me so that the process itself would be more consistent.  In the end, I didn't think the product was going to meet my needs.  One of the downsides is that it is only a 2.5 gallon system.  I think that (assuming I could get over the price) is what really turned me off.

Well, now you can get it up to 10 gal.  Although I never had an issue with only 2.5 for the amount of effort it takes.

If I had that much disposable income, I probably would do at least a 5 gallon system.  :-)

When they send you the "stackable" 5 gallon system, feel free to send me the 2.5 gallon system.  :-)

Ya know, I'd be happy to do that, but I don't actually own it.  It's an extended loan.
