I'm sure you've all noticed the recent slowness of the board, especially related to posting. We're seeing a lot of double posting, even doubling up on whole topics.
We're working on a fix, but in the meantime we do have a bit of a workaround for the double posting. That is, just wait. 
The board is actually posting just as fast as it normally does. What's being delayed is the process of getting out of the posting dialog and back to the thread. So when you get annoyed with the delay and hit Post again, we get a second instance. (You can see this by watching the behavior across multiple windows.)
What I've been doing is opening a new tab if I want to post something. Type it up and post, then switch to the other window to get back to browsing.
