I seem to always brew on new years eve. Didn't brew that much this year. I'm brewing alt for a party in Feb tomorrow. Then I'm going to tear my system apart and go electric. Way more efficient. Also have to deal with some rust issues in the heat effected zones of the welds.

Who's brewing?

almost to a boil. I definitely need to go electric. Used 10 lb of gas already.

It makes it so much easier, you will love electric.

Boil done, recirc and chill going now. I don't think I'm going to hit my 8 hour brew goal. Probably gonna be 9.

Closing the year with an English pale ale.  It is truly frigid in my garage.   The wort should chill fast, though.   :D

Took 9.5 hours. I might have knocked an hour off if my fermentor was ready.

Today is my day off. Brewed a malty Helles with a blend of Castle pils, Pale ale, vienna, and 6% CaraLight 8L. Pitched  an MJ M76 harvest to the drauflassen starter and it's going already 2 hrs later.

I had to put a heater in my keg fridge in the garage. I've been using an old potpourri pot I found under the sink.
