Brewed with a buddy yesterday - a storm knocked down my cascade bine so I decided it was nature's way of telling us to make beer:3.3 lb 2-Row3.3 lb Wheat Malt2 oz Amarillo (whole hops) @ 601 oz Amarillo (pellets) @ 201 oz Amarillo (pellets) @ 5and we kept adding fresh cascades from the 20 minute mark on just slowly adding the fresh hops right until flameout. Will be dry hoping in the keg with 1/2 oz Cascade and 1/2 oz Amarillo - both pellets.Fermenting with US-05on to the pics...Posted ImageFresh first year cascades...Posted ImageMe on fly sparge duty....Posted ImageBrew buddy and neighbour...Posted ImageBoil....Posted Imageboil......Posted ImageGhetto chiller.... good times.Posted Imagepure gold. I know probably a bit high temp but I'm barely home and it's been sunny so with the heat off my apartment is still 68 df. It'll still be great beer.

ET: Your last shot (closeup of the hops) is awesome. You have the homebrewing/photography gene, clearly. I saved that shot... maybe use as a desktop background! Cheers.

Those were some nice looking hops. Say, did you grow those indoors? There was a shot of you from below with a plant overhead.

Zym, are you saying nice looking neighbourhood or nice looking neighbour(hood)?? :)Haha thanks Ken! I just dropped about a grand on my new Canon G11 - makes it fun to play around taking pics on brew day! Deerslyr, The hops didn't get growing inside though they did make it up to the second story window where I had their line was tethered! The indoor guy is a big vine that's been growing in this apartment for 5 years or so, covers the whole ceiling.

Earthtone, did you try linking the pics by removing the extra characters in the url that appear after ".jpg"? You need to cut off the string that usually starts with "?" and follows the img url. If you don't remove that string it doesn't work, but I always get them to work from my mobile me gallery by doing that. Here's one of your picsPosted Image
