I am racking the Cashmere Pale Ale to a keg. I have my 4 serving kegs in the draft fridges and 4 on-deck kegs that are cold, kegged and carbed (amber lager, ESB, Goldings Pale Ale and a gold lager where the grist was 50/50 pilsner & Vienna malt with late Hallertau) so I don't actually have room for this keg since I only have room to keep 8 kegs cold. But it's 32° outside so I moved the amber lager to the garage to make room in the on-deck fridge for the Cashmere. I'll save the 1469 and brew with it during the week or next weekend. I don't have the energy to brew today. I did briefly consider making a Vienna with the M76 but thought better of it... I would rather keep the M76 as a good backup lager yeast option so I think I'll get some 2124 if I plan to make more lagers. Otherwise it's finishing up some Christmas decorating, watching NFL and drinking beer. :D

Hooray!

I just finished cleaning up from kegging this beer. I have the smell of 1469 all over my hands and it's unreal. I also forgot about this yeast's weird ability to sit on top of the completely-fermented beer in large bubbles/pillows. I was ready to do the transfer and cracked open the primary to see the entire surface covered with these large yeast bubbles. At first I was like WHOA! but then realized... Oh yeah, 1469. Cheers and enjoy your Sunday Drez!

I'll be getting ready to brew the second of 3 beers I'm doing as a test of the effect of protein on hop utilization.

Serving 2 kegs at my wife's Christmas party tonight. Brewed that Blue moon clone and I'm taking my light lager. Her co-workers said they weren't going to have a party this year unless I was bringing my beer lol.

Fun party. I cut up orange slices for the BM clone and it was damned tasty with one in it. Everyone hitting the kegs. One gal parked by them and was pulling pints everytime I turned around. I have more fun when others are enjoying my beer than when I'm hyperanalyzing my stuff.

Yeah that was fun. I'm slightly buzzed right now. About to go to bed. I told them to hit the BM keg hard as I probably wouldn't drink much of it. Refilled 8 or so cups at last call before I loaded up.

Just swapped out an empty keg in the keg fridge for a fresh keg of IPA, featuring Mosaic and Columbus.

Got a brewday scheduled for 12/18, after i'm on vacation.

Been drinking Vienna Lager all day.

I had a good share of my Vienna too. I did learn how much I like the Coopers 23 ounce PET bottles. They are light and easy to use and reuse. Cheap enough to keep a case of 15 laying around and perfect for when I want to travel with some beer. No more saving glass.

Yep I know that 1469 well. Such a delicious bready/nutty smell.

Have to agree. I am the same way.

having a decadent eclipse from neighborhood beer company.

Decadent Eclipse Black Lager (Seasonal)

The Decadent Eclipse Black Lager is a super smooth and dangerously delicious beer that tastes more sinful than it looks.  Our interpretation of a GIOS (German Imperialized Oatmeal Schwarzbier), this lager features a velvety mouthfeel fused with a hint of chocolaty aroma.  Bold on appearance and long on flavor, this beer is perfect for the lifestyles of the rich and famous. 7.2% ABV

Making a quick and easy blonde ale tonight to appease the masses around the holidays. Probably going to be up pretty late getting it done.
