Yeah. I was looking up this "Abbey" malt that Weyermann makes (it's part of the Cashmere Pale Ale recipe) and it was described as "friable". It sounds crisp and fragile and as if it would turn to dust when you sent it through your mill. I envision the kernels being kilned to the point that they're like Cap'N Crunch.Means that grain is easily broken apart due to kilning.

I've only heard that term in reference to asbestos, but it certainly makes sense in this usage.

That would be 'crispy' but the crispy didn't have the 11 herbs and spices... only the 'original'. Ask me how I know.If it has 11 herbs and spices, I'm in.
