Nice Call. Hope the brew session goes great for you. I would be mashing in today too if I didn't have to go out of town instead this week. Good Luck and Amen.I just mashed in a nice ordinary bitter and if the beer gods cooperate I will have it in the fermenter and all cleaning done by kickoff. Now please turn in your hymnals to "He turned water into wine".

And The Lord He creatith water and it was good. And water begot grains and hops and it was good. And through His infinite wisdom yeast was born. And man thanked God and created beer from the bounty God had provided. Amen.I just mashed in a nice ordinary bitter and if the beer gods cooperate I will have it in the fermenter and all cleaning done by kickoff. Now please turn in your hymnals to "He turned water into wine".

Amen to that. What yeast are you using for it? I went to my LHBS yesterday and picked up the 2487 Hella-bock to make a Vienna next week & I also picked up a Staro-Prague Lager Activator. Making my Holiday-Schmoliday Christmas beer tomorrow with 1099 Whitbread, in accordance with the scriptures. It is indeed right and salutary that we should make these divine liquids.Getting ready to mash in a vienna lager. Can I get an Amen?

Ken,If you use the Sparo strain soon I will be interested to hear your feedback on this yeast. I have a recipe for a Bo Pils that I was going to ferment with 2278 but once I get to the LHBS and pick up the sparo I am going to give that a try instead. I don't know much about this strain so feedback will be good. I will probably brew mine in the next month or so. Cheers.Amen to that. What yeast are you using for it?
