So, as some of you know, I just got back into brewing. I come back and I'm knocking things out, left and right - best beers i've ever made. Even my wife is into it! I recently made a hefeweisen that was go good - best head on it, just exactly what I was thinking it would be when I brewed it, and all rejoiced. Especially me.
Now I don't have time for bottles, so I keg pretty much exclusively. I got all new hardware and plumbed it up, put the co2 tank and the keg in a side by side fridge in my garage with a bunch of my good german beer and got ready for my daughter's 3rd Birthday party on Saturday.
Saturday morning I go and open the co2 tank to the keg before the party - I was having trouble force carbing before that gave it too high pressure for too long so I was letting it relax a bit.
Anyway, party starts and I bring a pitcher out there, I open up the door and a wall of foam comes at me. I think that my spigot leaked a bit.
I pull on the spigot, just dregs. WTF? Keg is empty! Where's the beer? I look... it all leaked into a produce drawer underneath the keg. 5 gallons of beer are in that drawer right now. 2 days later.
I couldn't make myself clean it up yesterday I was so heart broken.
