Brewed an all Citra Am Wheat yesterday in the basement as usual. I was filling up the conical and a gnat/fruit fly? landed on the inside wall. I swatted it without thinking, spashed the wort and got the bug. Wiped the area down with a paper towel dipped in the bucket of StarSan. I guess I need to taste this one before it gets kegged.
I hope it was a gnat - the only time we get fruit flies is when stuff is brought home from the local farmer's market. For whatever reason we have gnats outside more that usual this year............
