This was posted on some other sites yesterday and I just heard about it this morning. Very sad and a huge loss to the brewing community. Thank you Greg for all you gave to homebrewing!"I hate to be the first to post this. I went to the Vermont Brew Pubfor lunch today, and the pub was closed with a lone sign standing outfront:Greg NoonanMarch --- 1951 - Oct. 11th 2009.I was told he had passed during the night. This is a horrible loss. Mythoughts go out to his family."

 Sad news indeed. I'll go home and read a chapter or two in New Brewing Lager tonight in his honor.

Oh my God. Being the lagerhead that I am, that is unbelievably terrible news. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2007 and he sat down with my wife and I (completely impromtu meeting at the Vermont Pub & Brewery) and we talked for about an hour about everything from beer to Vermont to parenting. What a great guy and a huge loss... not just for brewing but for all. Here's a shot of him and I amongst his many fermenters. RIP, Greg Noonan.Posted Image
