This is my first review of the many brew pubs around me. I will try and write something about all of them in the next day or so, but I'm not very good at things like this so bear with me (get it?). :covreyes:I'm sure you all know the Beers that Bear Republic produces, I'm lucky enough that I am only a 20 minute drive away. But they have some pretty good food too, just this last Sunday I went and had their Fish and Chips, which were excellent. I usually go with something like a Fish and Chips at brew pubs, it just seems like the perfect pub food. I paired it up with their Hop Rod Rye which I had never had before, but I loved it. I think I'm going to need to brew something with Rye Malt soon. :scratch:The pub itself has a great atmosphere, it is roomy in side, and has some pretty good seating outside which is nice in the summer but was a little windy on Sunday.

I live about an hour and 20 minutes from Bear Republic and it is one of my favorite brew pubs. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff is usually busy but they are friendly and prompt. Most of the beers are excellent, especially the hoppy IPAs - Hop Rod, Racer 5, Racer X, and Red Rocket are some of my favorite ales. Worth a trip to Healdsburg and you can walk off the beers by walking around the old downtown area and hanging out in the park! :P

Have you ever been to Russian River's brewpub? Now THAT is busy. I have left a couple of times due to the crowdedness.
