I've brewed an extract batch in my garage and the added humidity didn't seem over the top (don't exactly want condensation all over my garage ceiling), but my boil is lower than the hot liquor tank. I also realize that the sparge water temp isn't boiling, so it should have less vapor coming off of it.Anyway, long story short, do you guys brew in the garage? BTW - it is a 3 tier system, so no pumps. The top of the water in the HLT will be about 7 feet up in a garage with ~10-11' ceiling.

Yep, I brew inside my garage and have a similar 3-tier gravity fed system. I have a lid on the HLT and keep the garage door open during the brew day. I've been brewing like this for about 3 years and do not have any condensation issues visible on the ceiling. I'm guessing my ceiling is similar height as well.

Cool. I just don't want the neighbors asking me about my meth cook. Plus, it will be getting chilly in a month or so.

No issues on my end. I don't have a tiered system. Simple Cooler mash tun and stock pot no pumps. I open both doors and let er rip from there. Never seen any condensation issues for myself. I would think it would take some time and serious brewing to really have an impact since I am sure you have some distance of clearance from the HLT and ceiling.

I have brewed with outside ambient temps round -10 F. What I do is open my 16 ft garage door about 10-12 inches off the floor, then crack open my service door about 3-4 inches. This allows airflow that prevents CO2 buildup, and the dry cold air coming in wicks up some of the moisture of the process. The garage is fully insulated and finished, but I have not seen any problems with the drywall in over three years of brewing. Good luck.

I brew inside the garage. I have a single tier though. I do not think there will be any issues.

I also brew in my garage, which is fully finished and insulated. 2-tier system, 15.5 gal kettles. I open the garage door and a side door and have a fan set up blowing out the garage door. I've never had a problem with condensation, so I imagine you'll be fine.

3-tier system here and no problems in my garage either. I let the weather determine how open my doors are.

Inside garage, with door open, which is a necessity if you want to stay alive.
