Who uses these?

I went to the LHBS yesterday afternoon and ended up staying there for about 90 minutes talking and drinking beer with the guy who works there... I have known him from various brewing circles for years. He filled one of my CO2 tanks and when I asked about a "washer", he suggested these threaded pieces that have a gasket on them. They were 2.50 each and I picked up 3 of them. They connect to the tank and look like they would eliminate any leaking issues one might have with the cardboard or plastic washers.

All of my tanks have them.  The place I go to for fills installed them one time when I brought my tanks in.

Nice. I have to say that the connection between the tank and regulator is probably not an issue for most people when compared to leaky manifolds or kegs with issues with the O-rings or pressure relief valves. But anything I can do to lower the chances that I'll empty a tank in 3 hours is a big plus in my book.
