I can't seem to go back and edit any of my posts. Is this feature disabled on purpose or am I missing something? Is it only available to paid members?

Regular members can edit their posts for up to 5 minutes after the post is made. Patrons have an hour.

Hmm...this is intentional? What is the reasoning for it?

The idea is that editing posts after the conversation has moved on is bad form. And the longer time limit for patrons is just a perk of donating.

Thanks for clearing that up.
But, I don't remember commenting on edit times previous to this?I've seen your comments about edit time in your topics.

IMO, edit times should be indefinite. It's a pretty common occurrence to post a thread and want to keep updated information in the first post, rather than making someone read through multiple pages to get updates. The software notifies the reader if a post has been updated, so what's the big deal?

What really burns me is when I take more than 5 mins editing a post only to be told I can't edit it - booooooooI know I could just cut and paste it into a new post but the magic is goneRegular members can edit their posts for up to 5 minutes after the post is made. Patrons have an hour.
