I have been watching Craigslist for months and haven't seen any deals that would be worth my drive/time. I can get a new one after tax and delivery for $132.00. Where have you all found yours and is there somewhere else I should look before biting the bullet on a new one?

I think I bought mine off e-bay but that was a good number of years ago.

I got mine on eBay too but it was a local guy that was selling it so I didn't have to pay shipping. This may have been before craigslist, or before I knew about it anyway. I would just keep haunting CL until something turns up. Also I believe places like Airgas have an exchange program so that you don't have to buy the cylinder.

I bought mine as a filled swap tank at my local Air Liquide shop, the 20#er is only about $2.50 more per swap than my old 10#er.

My local gas place (an hour away) will lease me a 20# tank for 5 years and $189.00. No thanks.
ETA: they don't sell them. Will exchange if I already have my own.

I bought one from a homebrewer friend and got another free from a guy I know at a Pepsi plant.

I also got mine at the local fill shop in an exchange for a 5lb tank I had. He even gave me an even swap because he didn't have any 5lb tanks filled.

Nice deals, but I'm not going to hold out for one of these miracles to happen to me.

One from a friend that had a Coke tank in his basement almost as old as me. Free. The other from CL, guy was selling equipment from a concession trailer. Another Coke tank and pretty cheap. Eventually I traded those at a place in town that didn't care.

I'm almost tempted to buy them myself.
I'm surprised you didn't yet. Or go 2 and 1 with Len Kenard. If any of my sibs were up that way I'd throw 'em bone to pick them up for me.
