The ones I've had have mostly been Cask Bitters, like Brains. Were you thinking of any one in particular?

I just kind of realized that with all the famous brewing traditions in the UK, I hear nothing about the beer of Wales

Brains Bitter is probably one of the biggest ones, brewed in Cardiff. I saw a show where the host went to Wales and when I heard about Brains Bitter I just assumed it was a "bitter" just like any other British bitter.

Yet a lot of us made it to the US.

Other than coming from Wales, they vary from British cask Bitters about as much as British cask Bitters vary from each other. Which can be quite a bit.

I can never remember the Welsh ones for this reason, solid but standout. Now if the Welsh made some casks like them Scott's they would have something.

Yup, me too. (I'm about 25% Welsh)
