The Aussie stuff worked because it's the propellant in the can that makes the explosion. Hairspray just happens to add an extra boost IIRC

Acetylene would work well, but it might blow up the bottle. Makes a hell of a cannon when used with a 1 gallon paint can.

I thought about that when I was buying the PVC. I was under the (mistaken) impression that I had a can of it here at the house. I didn't feel like going back out to get any, though.

Hmm. That sounds like something worthy of a second video.

Humorous side note: This all happened while my wife was out running around with one of her friends. I sent her a text that simply said "Fun with explosives. :) " Her response was "*sigh*"

What about starter fluid?

Don't have any of that, either.

Although we did use starter fluid and carb cleaner both as fuel sources when we built our last potato cannon. Good times.

Be careful with acetylene! We had a guy get fired for launching gallon paint cans at the ceiling at work. Dumbass had the cans on the edge of a work table and lighting them with a striker. What he didn't take into account was he was directly under the factory superintendents office...

I don't even own an acetylene! ;)

We do sell it at work, though.

I got bored today and decided to venture over to Lowes. It was a nice day outside and it seemed like the perfect day for some shenanigans with my children.

I'm wondering how it's possible that he looks younger than his kid!

He's actually not related to me. The blonde guy in the video is the neighbor's son. He's 15.

He lives near a wormhole that effects time. Everything in the neighborhood is stuck in the 80's. A place where you can still launch rockets in your front yard without having the FBI called on you.
