I got bored today and decided to venture over to Lowes. It was a nice day outside and it seemed like the perfect day for some shenanigans with my children.

Nice. Next up, go back to Lowe's and get more PVC to build a spud gun.
Oh and Aqua Net is your friend.

Oh we've made a couple of potato guns before. The last one I made was over 6' long. On a whim I inverted it and launched a potato into my mother and father's concrete patio from about 6". It literally injected the potato into the concrete. It took a good 5 or 6 weeks for the resultant stain to finally leach out of the concrete. Good times. :D

What does a can of spray paint held upside down yield?

Probably not as much as other options would since the flammable component in spray paint is overshadowed by the non-flammable additives. Just me guessing off the top of my head, though.

Oh . . . I missed the upside down part. Hmm . . . .

I'm also curious what the results would be using the same procedure but using a 20ounce soda bottle...

Oddly enough we started out with an 8 ounce water bottle and launched it in the den. It went about 10-12 feet. We graduated from that to a standard plastic Coke bottle. For whatever reason that didn't work too well. It never ignited. That was when my oldest son found the bottle we used in the video.

Tannerite??

Missed this somehow.

Yeah . . . . . . no.

I'm thinking I could maybe get by with a quarter-ounce of it and about 50 yards of wire, but again, though, no. Thanks for playing. :P

I don't think that would ignite tannerite. You need a high velocity round. .22 mag works at close enough range, but not LR. There is .22 specific tannerite, but I still don't think that would work.
