I bought a sixer about two months ago. I had one and it really didn't excite me like this beer always has. Not very smooth, kinda harsh. Thought maybe my palate was off that day or something. Put one in the fridge and the rest in my "cellar" where it became forgotten. Anyhow my wife opens up the one I have had in the fridge all this time and sure enough this sucker is harsh, tart, and dusty tasting. It's really really horrible. Not sure I've ever had an infected beer from a brewery that large and well reputed. What gives GLBC?

I had a Founders Breakfast Stout that I let sit in my fridge for about a year. It was roapy when I opened it.

I had a 6 pack of stone that I am 99% sure was infected.  Barrel aged beers can end up infected .. I am talking about you 2009 Abyss!

Sucks about the porter though, great beer that I wish I could get here.

Funny, I have 1 stray Founder's Breakfast Stout that has been in there for a least a year. I should check it out.

Normally I really love that beer too. I can't get it here either I picked up this sixer when I was out of town. Major disappoint!

That Edmund Fitzgerald was probably contaminated with a load of iron ore, 26,000 tons more than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty. Just a hunch. ;)

Someone posted a security-cam vid once and it was a guy in a liquor store stocking shelves. A 22-ounce bomber on the shelf behind him exploded and he was cut with shards of glass. It's mildly surprising that might happen to a commercial beer but we all know what can happen. Neddles, have you seen the "quality control lab" at New Glarus where guys are constantly monitoring things and if something were to go awry, they could pinpoint the spot in the system where it took place and scrub it out. Good stuff.

OCD kicking in.... Beer can't be infected, only organisms can be infected. Beer is contaminated.

I feel better now. OCD over.

I triangle tested several beers where proper terminology was used and no one could tell a difference.
