I found two orange igloo coolers on craigslist for 15 bucks each, ive been searching for the right parts to use to make the mash tun heres a list of what I plan on buying let me know if all these parts should work good.-1/2" Ball Valve, Copper (~$9)-1/2" LiquidTight Conduit, PVC (~$2)-1/2" Male to 3/8" Barb, Copper (~$4)-12"-16" Stainless Steel faucet hose (~$8)-Additional: 1/2" Straight Extender (~$.70)(One female end and one male end; the LiquidTight threads are not long enough to hold the Ball Valve due to insulation)Additional: Thread Sealing Tape (~$1.29)Additional: Hose Clamp (~$?...found a spare in the garage, holds the SS tube )

Well Nick, it's hard to be sure without actually seeing all of this stuff in person. I guess my first question is why is there only one barb? I have 2 on my setup, one has the SS braid on it, the other I hook up my silicone tubing to. Also - just to be sure - you are planning on batch sparging yes?

yes I plan on doing batch sparging, ive been just researching others equipment used on diffrent websites and came across the parts listed, so any updates as to what I may need would really help. So the one barb with the SS braid on it do you buy it with the SS braid on it? Also when I cut the SS facuet connector do I put something on the one open end so no grains go threw? Sorry for all the questions. Id rather be sure then mess something up.

Since I use this cooler I followed these instructions almost exactly: My linkThe only thing I had to do differently was I had to put some extra spacers on the outside of the cooler so everything fit nice and snug. I think you'll find this write-up to be very helpful in planning out what you want to do.
