Word. It is good this year.I had a liter of paulaner oktoberfest last weekend at the breckenridge oktoberfest. Tasty. I need to hit up a store for some 'fest before its too late. Sam Adams oktoberfest is my favorite of their beers. It is on par with the german ones.

If for me I'm waiting as those are readily available, as is my own German Ale(cross between a Dussy Alt/O'fest on draft) and an American Bitter that's a hop bomb ready to pour. Furiously watches for southernersImma swing through the state of VA and grab Hokie and Glacies and we'll be on our way up there. Put the beer in the fridge. KTHNXBYE

The 6'er of Spaten I bought 2 weeks ago was skunked. Aarghh !! A fantastic beer ruined. From the land of both Sam Adam's and Harpoon, the Harpoon beats Sam's ass again. Try to find Spaten, Weihestephaner, Ayinger or Erdinger for good O'fest; if from bottles make sure they're not green ones and if they are make sure you grab some from an unopened case.

AGREEDTime and time again Harpoon beats the pants off Sam Adams. I know that doesn't sound right.

I thought Budweiser was the German word for Budweiser. Which explains why Bud was losing all those lawsuits in Germany over naming rights.Isn't Bitburger German for Budweiser?
