The place I get my co2 filled said they fill diving tanks but they wouldn't fill this. Not sure what the difference is, oh well.
Liability? Is that tank threaded backwards like the red bottles?

Nice score but you may need a prescription to get it filled.
yup
maybe you can swap it at a gas outlet for a welding 02 tank?

This.
I picked one up a few years ago at the thrift store. It had 1500psi in it. I'm down to 1000, but know that I would need a perscription to get it filled. (or if you can get a connecton with a medical O2 company) The real problem may be that the tank also needs to be hydro-ed.

find a local welding place - they might work with you.

I do not think they will. Just from some personal experience I have had. Most of the times they will not risk it and a prescription will be required.

good thing I didn't buy one of these. I had heard this but I wasn't sure if it was true.
perhaps after you use up the O2 you could do an exchange with the clinic?

If it was free, it might be worth painting green. A welding place may fill it if it's obvious that it won't be used for breathing.
Now that I look at the picture in the OP again you may be right. It has a normal looking valve on it not the pin type you see in the smaller ones.

It will be fine but I would still put a filter inline.one of these guyshttps://www.morebeer...ary-filter.html
I don't think it's necessary. Even the welding gas has to be really clean.
