Batch #397 of round two will be brewed this weekend. I have no idea what to do for 400. Maybe something different but brewing a big beer really isn't something I want. The last few hung around so long they got dumped.........I had a few from Root Sellers at a fest here this past weekend that were inspiring. I may try to do something in that vein.https://www.rootsell...er-address.htmlI didn't see it on the site but a beer with carrot in it was served. Multiple raves about it. The hard root beer was wonderful.

When i hit 200 a while back, i categorized all my beers. You might be surprised what you make more of and drink. I separated IPA/Pale Ale, stout&porter/ wheat beers/  . I was surprised how many red ales i made.

This makes me wish I kept a better record. I have stacks of printed out recipe sheets with notes all over them but no actual count.

I usually start my recipes in Beersmith and copy to word and print on heavy card stock. Recipe one side, water requirements other side. I make any and all notes on this paper and after kegging the recipe goes into a 3-ring binder tabbed according to style. While my batch is boiling, I vacuum the cracks in my driveway :)

My batch numbers have been down. This year and last. I'm only brewing about once a month now, but it's on the pilot system which is just a big homebrew system.

400 is a hell of a lot of brewing for a homebrewer.

I usually have some hand written notes that I keep in the brewing area that tell me when to add various ingredients to the boil with times.  I've started numbering the batches just to see how many I'm doing.
