Would my beer have to be re carbed to add a hop tea to the Keg ?Can I just remove the lid pour in the tea gently so I do not cause foam or would I just end up ruining the beer ?

Never tried it, only because every response I've seen to this question has been negative. According to others that have tried this you will get a grassy, vegetal result. I can't count how many times I've read this too. No harm in dry hopping at anytime IMO. That would be my choice, hope that helps.

NB,If you have carbed your beer prior to adding the hop tea after you open up the keg and add the tea you can just put the lid on the keg and set it to serving pressure. You won't lose your carbonation with your keg being open that short a period of time. You will be fine.

Is your goal to bitter the beer or to add hop flavor? If you want flavor you should just dry hop like DJ recommended. One of our club members made some hop and herb teas to demonstrate bitterness and I do remember they did taste bitter. However, it did have an odd taste. If you want more bitterness I would probably recommend brewing a small batch of beer making it extra bitter and then blend the beers. If you do add the hop tea, please report back on your results.

When I dry hop I try to have everything ready to go when I pop the lid. Release pressure first, drop in the hops with the container/bag of your choice and be ready to put the lid back on fast. If it's carbed you will get foam immediately. My deal is to purge again with the PRV after adding the hops to blow off o2 and then not worry about it. Seems to work OK here. You won't get much if any flavor from this addition but smell and taste are funny about that. You'll probably like the beer better.
