I would like to use my ball lock setup with Sanke kegs.  Pretty normal right?  I bought one of these Perlick D-system "low boy" couplers and a ball lock conversion kit as seen here:

Clearly these things dont fit together.  Seems these barbs arent normally what you get on a regular Sanke coupler?  Should be some kind of screw thing?

It appears I need to buy something that will fit the posts and the coupler I have here, but what?  Why does this have to be so difficult?

Not exactly what you're looking for but would work.

I would still need something to connect these barbs to that.  UNless I can back out the barbs with a wrench?

both of those barbs should just unscrew.

I was thinking you'd back out the barbs and replace with flare fitting. You'd then have to hook the lines up to the flare fittings instead of the ball lock connectors.

They appear to be in there with some sort of thread lock.  I just took a wrench to it and had no success.

Maybe I can try with some better leverage later on.

I really want to do this with the ball lock connectors so I dont have to screw around with fittings every time I want to change from commercial keg to home brew

Do you need the low profile coupler? Those ball lock posts will go fine with a standard sanke coupler.

I do - I can fit a sixtel into my fridge next to a corney, but it wont fit with the regular tall coupler

No that wont do - the problem is I dont have the threads on my sanke coupler.  I think I have this figured out now - I am just building it up from plumbing parts and some hose clamps.
